The imagery reflects methane's contribution to rising temperatures, drawing on the intensely coloured maps increasingly seen during extreme heatwaves across Europe. Despite its unsettling subject, the work aims to avoid pessimism and instead encourage action. The accompanying text delivers a clear call to action, while the contrasting blue background offers a sense of calm and possibility, suggesting that change remains achievable. Created digitally using Clip Studio and Photoshop, the composition combines a painted heart, gradient maps, text and layered textures.

Born and raised in a town in Sevilla, Spain, Sofia is a 24-year-old graphic designer whose practice is distinguished by a strong social and political commitment. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Master's in Graphic and Web Design, and currently works in the press office of Spain's primary trade union. Her professional experience has shaped an understanding of her art as a powerful tool for engaging the public and advocating for social change. Her multidisciplinary work extends beyond graphic design to include documentary-making, allowing her to explore contemporary social and political subjects through both visual and audiovisual storytelling.
